The two types of white-belts most likely to quit

POST
Jiujitsu is a great equalizer, having throughout its history turned multitudes of weak, vulnerable people into strong, confident ones. And what it can do for the talented—well, the sky's the limit there.

But gifted students can face their own set of challenges. Approaching them the right way can be the difference between a world champion and a white-belt who stops showing up.

It helps when a higher belt reminds me to use less power during class, at least once with positive motivation. Power and strength are things that some may never attain, so it is a gift. That being said, it will be a curse in jujitsu if one is unable to learn meekness.

A black belt is a white belt who didn't quit.
