Clear instruction with real time feedback .......a bit sideways , getting a deep grip with a little twist and pulling with legs to keep him/her at close range. I guess we could add the elbow lock at some point...? I remember while training with Roger the idea to start with this technique and to move on to triangle and then arm bar.....

I can now see that winds up the choke when bringing in the opponent. Changing the angle of the choking forearm due to the brace the opponents arm is placing on the choking arm.
